Who we are

Clutch is a live prediction game operated by SBM Group LLC. Clutch is played at participating sports bars and venues. Players answer questions tied to live game data during a match, and the last fan standing wins the venue's prize.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Clutch collects when you play, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information we collect

When you sign up for and play Clutch, we may collect:

Name — the display name you provide when you join a game.
Phone number — used to identify you in an active game session and to send game-related text messages if you opt in.
Game picks — the predictions and answers you submit during a game.
Venue and event information — the bar or venue where you are playing and details about the game session you join.
Usage and log data — technical information such as device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, and related service logs collected automatically when you use Clutch.

Why we collect your phone number

We collect your mobile phone number to identify you within an active Clutch game session and, if you opt in, to send you game-related SMS notifications.

These SMS messages may include notifications when a new question is open, when a round is locking, when results are available, whether you have survived or been eliminated, leaderboard updates, and prize claim notifications.

SMS messaging terms

By providing your phone number and opting in through the Clutch signup flow, you consent to receive game-related text messages from Clutch related to the specific live game or event you joined.

Message frequency varies depending on the game you are playing and how it unfolds. You may receive several messages during a single game. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can reply HELP for assistance. After you reply STOP, we will stop sending you game-related text messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

We do not share your mobile information for marketing

Clutch does not sell, rent, trade, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information with third parties, affiliates, venues, sponsors, partners, or other outside parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Participating venues may host or promote Clutch games, but SMS messages are sent by Clutch only to users who opt in through the Clutch signup flow.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Clutch, and we share information with them only as necessary to provide the service. These may include:

Twilio — to deliver the SMS notifications described above.
Hosting providers — to run the Clutch application and store game data.
Analytics providers — to understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and are not permitted to use your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Clutch, provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.

Children

Clutch is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
